Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Blue Lens! These are our standard terms and conditions of sale.

1. Services Provided

Blue Lens provides short-form video creation, including editing and consulting services. The specific scope of work will be detailed in a Statement of Work (SoW), which must be agreed upon before any project begins.

2.Revisions / Edits

A small number of revisions/edits are included and will be specified in the Statement of Work. Any additional edits beyond this scope may incur extra charges.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due 10 days from the date of the invoice or 1 day prior to filming, which ever is earliest. If no payment has been received filming will not take place.

A deposit of 50% of the total invoice value is required if the total project cost exceeds £300 or if Blue Lens is booked on a dedicated day rate.

Late payments may result in service suspension or additional charges.

4. Ownership & Usage Rights

Blue Lens retains full ownership of the created content.

Only for Blue 15 customers, Blue Lens issues a 3 month license, which permits the use the video for its original purpose, as stated in the Statement of Work for a period of 3 months. After 3 months has expired, you are not permitted to repost the video. For Blue and Blue+ customers, Blue Lens grants joint ownership of the created content, but retains full copyright of the content and prohibits the re-editing, re-working of the original created content. Should the original created content be re-edited or re-worked a £1,000 charge will be levied.

The 3 month license will commence form the day of handover.

In all cases, Blue Lens holds the indefinite right to use the created content for portfolio and marketing purposes.

The customer may not alter, modify, or repurpose the video in a way that misrepresents Blue Lens' original work without prior consent.

5. Posting & Social Media Responsibility

The customer is responsible for posting videos to social media.

The customer must ensure they have the correct commercial music license if required.

Blue Lens is not responsible for any negative outcomes, comments, or actions taken by third-party social media platforms regarding the posted content.

6. Liability Disclaimer

Blue Lens provides services in good faith according to the signed Statement of Work.

Blue Lens is not liable for any bans, removals, or algorithm changes imposed by social media platforms.

Blue Lens is not responsible for ensuring the content meets platform-specific guidelines beyond what is agreed upon in the SoW.

Blue Lens is not liable for delays or failure to deliver services due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, technical failures, illness, or other emergencies.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Once a Statement of Work has been issued and accepted, it is binding.

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of signing the agreement or up to 48 hours before filming.

Once filming has started, the agreement is fully binding, and no refunds will be issued.

8. Delivery of Final Videos

Videos will be delivered via OneDrive or Google Drive to retain quality.

Occasionally, videos may be delivered via email, depending on file size and format.

9. Permissions & Filming Locations

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions have been obtained for filming at a venue.

The customer must also ensure that individuals featured in the video have given their consent where required.

10. Confidentiality

Blue Lens agrees to treat all client-provided information as confidential and will not disclose or share it without prior consent, except where required by law.

By engaging with Blue Lens, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
